Welcome to Smonu. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website smonu.com and your purchase of any products from us. By accessing our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Smonu ("we," "us," "our") is an online jewelry store selling moissanite and everyday jewelry pieces worldwide.

3. Products & Pricing

Product descriptions

We work hard to describe every piece accurately — stone specifications, metal composition, dimensions, and care. However, slight variations in color, texture, or appearance are part of the handcrafted nature of our work.

Pricing

All prices are listed in US Dollars ($USD) unless otherwise noted. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. The price at the time of purchase is the price you pay.

Product availability

Our pieces are made in limited runs. If an item becomes unavailable after you order, we'll contact you within 1–2 business days to offer a replacement, a backorder, or a full refund.

Pricing errors

If we discover a pricing error after you place an order (e.g., a ring listed at $19 instead of $199), we reserve the right to cancel the order and issue a full refund. We'll always contact you first.

4. Orders & Payment

Placing an order

When you place an order, you're making an offer to buy. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order.

An order is only confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email from us — not when you check out.

Payment methods

We currently accept PayPal. Additional payment methods may be added in the future and will be displayed at checkout.

All payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers. We never store your card number.

Order cancellation

You may cancel your order at any time before it has shipped by emailing hello@smonu.com. For the best chance of cancellation, contact us as soon as possible after placing your order. Once an order has shipped, it can no longer be cancelled, but you may follow our standard return process after delivery.

5. Shipping

Shipping terms, rates, and timelines are outlined in our Shipping Policy.

  • We ship worldwide
  • Processing time is 2–5 business days
  • Free shipping on qualifying orders (threshold varies by region — see Shipping Policy)
  • Import duties, taxes, and customs fees may apply depending on your region and are the recipient's responsibility

6. Returns & Refunds

Key points:

  • 30-day return window from date of delivery
  • Unworn pieces in original packaging only
  • No returns on earrings (hygiene), custom pieces, or final sale items
  • Return shipping is the customer's responsibility for change-of-mind returns; Smonu covers shipping for damaged, defective, or wrong items

7. Warranty

Smonu offers tiered warranty coverage:

  • Moissanite center stones — Limited lifetime warranty against loss of brilliance, fire, chipping, or breakage under normal wear
  • Sterling silver settings — 2-year craftsmanship warranty against manufacturing defects, including stone loss from setting failure and clasp defects
  • Stainless steel & titanium steel pieces — 1-year craftsmanship warranty against manufacturing defects in welds, clasps, and links

The warranty does not cover: normal wear and tear; tarnish or patina on sterling silver; fading or wear of gold plating; CZ stones; accidental damage; loss; theft; or damage from third-party repairs or alterations.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on smonu.com — including product names, photography, copy, logos, design elements, and the "every piece has a name" concept — is the property of Smonu and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or reuse our content for commercial purposes
  • Use our product photos on other websites or social media without attribution
  • Scrape, mine, or automatically extract data from our site

You may:

  • Share our product pages on social media (we love this!)
  • Tag us when you post photos wearing Smonu — we might repost!
  • Print content for your personal, non-commercial use

9. User Content

If you post a review, photo, or comment on our site or social media (tagging @smonu), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and republish that content for marketing purposes. You retain ownership of your content. This license is revocable — if you'd like us to stop using your content, email hello@smonu.com and we'll remove it within a reasonable timeframe.

We reserve the right to remove any user content that is offensive, off-topic, or violates these Terms.

10. Accuracy of Information

We make every effort to ensure the information on our site is accurate, but we cannot guarantee that all content is error-free. From time to time, there may be typos, incorrect pricing, or outdated information.

We reserve the right to correct any errors and to update information at any time without prior notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Smonu is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website
  • Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the purchase price of that product
  • We are not responsible for delays, losses, or damages caused by shipping carriers, customs offices, or other third parties

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under applicable law.

Our website and products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except as explicitly stated in our warranty terms above.

We do not warrant that:

  • Our site will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected immediately
  • The server hosting our site is free of viruses or harmful components

You agree to indemnify and hold Smonu harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of any third-party rights

For EU customers: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law. You also have the right to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
